Padsplit: A Quick UI Redesign

The Challenge

Padsplit is disrupting the affordable housing industry by creating safe, attractive, and respectable co-living environments, allowing a host to rent out their space by the room. I was tasked with redesigning the Property Dashboard, a place where admins can see an overview of a property.

The original dashboard has a lot of content, from Property Information to Communication Methods to Financial Information.

After

My redesign focused on re-organizing the content into more scannable categories, re-prioritizing content into a more coherent hierarchy, elevating any necessary action items, and adding in more moments of delight and character. I also added tenant ratings, the visualization of key data points, a more visible control panel for devices & utilities, and a clarified communication panel. My intent was to make the dashboard approachable, so that a property manager could arrive at the page and know exactly what to do next.
